Facebook has announced the creation of a particular ‘committee of wise persons’, an advice formed by five organizations of North America and Europe leaders in Internet safety that will act like consultant for the company in matters relative to the safety in line.
Five organizations that compose Facebook Safety Advisory Board are Average Common Sense, ConnectSafely, WiredSafety, Childnet International and The Family Online Safety Institute (FOSI).
According to Facebook, the idea is to support periodic meetings with the members of this advice, to develop strategies and materials that involve progress in the protection of the users. And the first target will be to affect in the paragraph of “Help“ of the social network, “to create specific and educational resources for parents, teachers and adolescents”.
The decision of the creation of this advice comes after in the previous months there have been known cases of school harassment and other crimes. Facebook has announced recently as well as it has already reached the number of 350 million users.
